With a population of 714,153 people, D.C. is mainly split between white and African American, with small ethnic groups including Asian, Hispanic, and two or more races.
According to the U.S Census Bureau, the median income for a household in the District of Columbia in 2015 – 2019 was $86,420, and per capita income was $56,147.
The average Washington D.C. resident has $6,307 in credit card debt, according to LendingTree. Furthermore, the average credit card utilization rate is 41% – which is the 12th highest total in the U.S. and above the national average of 37.7%. 7.1% of D.C. residents have a maxed-out credit card, which is the 12th highest total in the nation.
