The third Saturday in May is celebrated as Armed Forces Day, a day to pay tribute to and thank the men and women who serve the United States’ armed forces for their patriotic service in support of our country. Our credit counselors and everyone else at ACCC appreciates you!
Armed Forces Day is celebrated as part of National Military Appreciation Month. Many companies offer military discounts during this time (and some year round) as just a small thank you for all that active service members, veterans, and retirees have done for our country.
To receive a discount, a valid ID is usually required such as a current Military ID Card or a retiree card. Also, many discounts are subject to change based on location. Here is a list of some of the retailers offering special discounts this Armed Forces Day and during the month of May:
AMF Bowling – veterans and active duty personnel can register to obtain two free games for their kids each and every day during the summer from May 13 through September 2

Carnival Cruise – discounts and onboard credits for active duty and retired military personnel for bookings during the month of May

Sam’s Club – free, temporary one-day shopping passes to military personnel, veterans, retirees and their families on Armed Forces Day
