What is Financial Counseling?
There are many types of counseling out there, including marriage counseling, family counseling, career counseling, and substance abuse counseling. But what is financial counseling? This type of counseling is typically administered by a certified credit counselor or other licensed finance professional. The topics covered by financial counseling could be anything from debt and credit to reverse mortgages. Furthermore, the goal of financial counseling is to help consumers get back on their feet financially and equip them with the money management skills to make the best decisions about their finances.
